About Morah Sarah
My name is Sarah Friedman Ciment, and I am a passionate educator, special education specialist, and private tutor with over 10 years of experience teaching students of all ages and learning levels.
After teaching in NYC, I made Aliyah summer 2025, and am now based in Central Jerusalem!
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, I was educated in Chabad Schools for both Elementary and High School, receiving a strong foundation in both Jewish and secular studies. I continued my Torah learning in Israel for two years and am fluent in Hebrew, both written and spoken.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Adelphi University and a Master’s in Special Education (MS SPED) from Nova Southeastern University.
My journey into education began after a successful first career in technology and finance, where I worked for Fortune 500 companies in computer systems and software. While I gained valuable skills in the corporate world, I found my true calling in education, and transitioned to teaching, where I have found deep meaning and satisfaction helping students grow academically and emotionally.
Currently I teach students from Grade 1-12, one on one, in school settings, at home, at the provider’s office and remotely via Zoom or Meet.
I provide individualized instruction in:
Judaic Studies including: Chumash, Navi, Tanya, Halacha,Hebrew language and reading
General Studies including: English (ELA), Math, Science, History
Skills including: Social, Organizational, Executive Functioning, Coding
Who I work with:
I specialize in supporting Anglo students who are adjusting to new academic environments, students in mainstream classrooms who need extra support, students with learning differences, students with ADHD and students who have other special learning needs.
A Bit More About Me:
I am a proud mother of both sons and daughters, several of whom have served in the IDF. I understand the unique needs of Anglo- Israeli families, and I bring empathy, structure, and professionalism to each of my students.
If you are looking for a warm, experienced and skilled educator, fluent in both Hebrew and English, I would be honored to help your child succeed.
